By liberally twisting up the crepe material after it has been washed and thoroughly dried, you can restore the unique crinkle patterns. It is easy to firmly ingrain crinkles into the material by keeping it twisted up using string, a rubber-band or a similar tie to hold everything in place, and then storing it that way.
